What makes Science Wonders Workshop different?
At SWW we do not believe in “boxed” curriculums! Every program is tailored to the ages, interests, and needs of the students we teach. Our current catalog of 60+ lessons is always growing, and we love hearing from our classes about what interests and excites them so we can all explore together.

Ages 3-5
Limit 6 students
35 minute classes
6 classes – $120 ($20 a class)
Small scientists are encouraged to explore and discover in our tactile learning class! They will learn the foundations of science through active experiments and story time. Come discover a new topic each week!
Class Offerings
Sensory Science
(ages 2-5)
Our youngest scientists, along with their caregivers, will discover a new science topic each week through sensory bins and activities, story time, and experiments related to the class of the day. We work on our gross and fine motor skills alongside our science and art explorations!

YOU are a Scientist
Everyone can be a scientist…especially YOU! Come learn about science while you explore tools that scientists use such as scales, pipettes, measuring tools and more!
Camouflage
Ready, set, camouflage! Learn what camouflage is and how it helps animals to thrive and survive through storytelling, arts and crafts and a camouflaging seek and find!
Electricity
Come experiment safely with electricity! Be amazed, but not “shocked” as we read and learn about static electricity.
Construction Site (Engineering)
Become a junior engineer through our construction themed challenges! Dig and build with kinetic sand, complete craft stick challenge cards and even paint with construction trucks!
Snow Science
Come explore the properties of snowflakes! Learn why they look white and how they are made while playing with “instant” snow, exploring on a snowflake scavenger hunt and make your own crystalline snowflakes!
Air Pressure
Did you know that air is powerful stuff?! Come explore the power of air as you play with suction cups, and build your own air powered rockets!
STEAM Explorers
(ages 6-9)
Our independent learners will delve into a variety of science subjects through interactive and exciting experiments. From biology and physics to earth science and engineering, they will be inspired to go full STEAM ahead in their exploration of the science world!

Blood & the Circulatory System
This is a heartfelt class! Learn about the different parts of the bloodstream while creating a blood model. Discover how hard your heart has to work to pump this blood while completing our circulatory system “challenge” course!
Leaf Chromatography
FALL into this experiment! Explore fall colors, learn why leaves change color in the fall and conduct your own leaf chromatography in this colorful class.
Marble Run Engineering Challenge
Are you up for the marble run design challenge? Using various materials, create a colorful and convoluted marble run! Make sure the marble stays on the track as you try to reach the goal at the end. Trade designs with your classmates and challenge each other to explore!
Volcano Slime
Join us for an explosive class! Learn about volcanoes, how and why they form before having some fun with your own “volcano” slime experiment. Learn about polymers and cross linking while exploring your slime!
Sound is in the Air
Music….errr…. SOUND, is in the air! Come explore the science of sound, and learn how musical instruments produce sounds that we love while making your own wind instrument to take home!
Precipitation Science
Rain, Snow, Precipitation, Oh My! Come learn the basics of the water cycle and have fun with hands-on experiments recreating precipitation like “rain” and “snow”. Make your own “snowflakes” to take home!
Science Investigators
(ages 9-12)
Our skilled scientists will go more in depth with our fascinating science lessons. From dissections to engineering design to chemistry, this inquiry based class will encourage exploration and excitement in your learners!

Cow Eye Dissection
You SAW it correctly!
Come assist in a cow eye dissection while we learn how vision works. We will talk about each part of the eye as we remove them during the dissection… don’t worry, gloves are provided!
pH using Red Cabbage Indicator
Dive into the chemistry of acids and bases! Learn more about the pH scale while testing a variety of solutions, observing color changes and recording your pH data!
Wild Weather
Blizzards, tornadoes and storms, oh my! Learn about weather and earth science as you explore some examples of wild and natural phenomena!
Build a Water Tower
Delve into engineering design as you plan, build and test a water tower of your own construction! Your design must be able to hold a cup of water elevated off the ground without spilling a drop. And if at first you don’t succeed…. make observations, adjust your plan and try again – just like a real engineer!
Scaling the Solar System
With help from a NASA activity, students will create a clay scale model of the planets in our solar system. This will help them to understand the relative size differences between the planets, and how large the sun is!
Optical Illusions
Learn the basics of optical illusions as you create your very own thaumatrope! Color two different pictures on each disc, then spin them together quickly to combine the images and fool your eyes! Will you have a flower ‘magically’ appear inside a flower pot? Put together a plate of spaghetti and meatballs?
Be creative and see what happens when you spin your thaumatrope!

My name is Ms. Katie and I am excited to explore science with you! We will learn with hands-on, interactive, and (sometimes!) messy experiments together, as we investigate amazing science topics from bugs to balance to buoyancy – and a whole lot more!
